Katherine Denise Cannon

With her loving family by her side Katherine (Kathy)Slaven, Cannon of Yuma Az joined her Savior on March 27, 2025. She was born July 31, 1946 to James & Leola Ryan of Tooele Utah. She was one of 9 children. Kathy grew up in Tooele Utah, married Roy Slaven in 1963 and moved to Eugene/Veneta Or. There they raised their 2 children and 6 grandchildren over the next 43 years.

She enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting along with many other crafts and hobbies. She was adventurous, loved to dance and enjoyed life. She taught Life aerobics for several years, and joined a line dancing team in Yuma Az. Kathy and her sister Sandy purchased a Rv and traveled the United States and abroad. They settled in Yuma Arizona after years of traveling.

After joining Grace Bible Fellowship she met E.K Cannon and was married July 2015. They continued to travel. She loved the friendships and cherished the people of Grace Bible.

Kathy loved life! Her steadfast anchor was Jesus. She shared what a relationship with the Lord looked like, and gave her life to the Lord early in her young marriage. She was adventureous, silly, felt the need to talk with everyone. She shared her joy of life, always had a gentle hug, playful moments with her grandchildren & g-grandchildren. Kathy was spontaneous, spunky and loved her family. She will be so missed!

Kathy is beloved wife of E.K Cannon of Yuma, and the loving widow of her first husbandRoy D Slaven. She is survived by her children

CANNON , Texas, Michiel CANNON, Texas, granddaughter’s Lauryn Scott Texas, Marina CANNON, Texas and a host of family and friends.
