Juan proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Darlene Garcia, and together they built a beautiful life and welcomed six children.
Juan spent many years working as an engineer at Raytheon before retiring and making his home in Tucson, Arizona. But his true happiness was never found at work, it was found on the dance floor. Juan loved music, and dancing with his wife, Darlene, was one of his greatest joys.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured his family and the time they shared together. Johnny was preceded in death by his children, Freddy Garcia, Corina Garcia, and Gary Garcia. Johnny is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Garcia; his children, Ruben Garcia, Loretta Melendrez, and Doris Konieczny; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Johnny will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his proud service to his country, and his warm, outgoing personality. He never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He loved to shop, enjoyed being goofy and making others laugh, and brought his own special joy wherever he went.
His laughter, his stories, and the many memories he created will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. Though he is deeply missed, Johnny's love will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
Services will be at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church and will begin with a Rosary followed by Mass on Thursday, October 8, at 8650 N Shannon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85742. Prayer of the Rosary will start at 10:30 AM, with Mass taking place at 11:00 AM.
