Joseph James Tellaw

Joseph James Tellaw, son of Reuben and Cleo, was born in Denver, Colorado on September 24, 1951. He passed away on September 14, 2026 at Green Valley, Arizona. Joe served in the United States Navy for twenty-one years and retired in 1994. Joe is survived by his third wife, of whom he shared his later life with Marilyn F. Johnson. Joe preceded in death his second wife Judy McBroom, mother of their son John Tellaw. He is survived by his first wife Charlene Valdez. Moreover, their daughter Angela Speer, wife of Paul Speer, and their three children Santos, Darian, and Mason. Additionally, Joe is survived by his second daughter Jessica Favale Noonan, her husband Jack Noonan, along with their son David. Joseph was a generous man, who loved to travel. He was loved by his family and will always be remembered. There will be a placement of his ashes at the Marana Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
