Howard Lynn Searby, 76, of Hereford, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, following a lengthy battle with cancer. A resident of Sierra Vista, Howard spent his later years learning the art of Tai Chi, in which he enjoyed ever so passionately. He spent many, countless nights in meditation and learning the art and focus on the inner-core and energy. Howard also spent numerous hours working in hospice and supporting and guiding those in their final moments. Howard achieved many milestones in life as a veteran, bank manager and business owner. At his retirement, Howard was able to slowly travel around the country and take in the many beautiful sites that surround us. Howard is survived by his daughter, Tricia McGrath and her husband Mathew McGrath of Tollhouse, CA; his sons, Virgil Steuber II and his wife Jacqueline Steuber of Roseville, CA, Christopher Searby and his wife Miriam Searby of Antelope, CA, Sean Searby and his partner Joel Caceras of Manhattan, NY; his grandchildren, Lacey McGrath, Cannon McGrath, Nathan McGrath, Jeremy Galindo, Anthony Steuber, Maya Searby, Josiah Searby, Alexander Berumen Carrasco; his great grandson, Griffin Trevarrow; his sister, Sharon Collins and her husband Bill Collins of Walnut Creek, CA; his niece, Chandra Robinette and her husband Ed Robinette of Richmond, CA; his nephews, Paul Collins of Pleasant Hill, CA and children, Lincoln Collins and Zara Collins and Jason Collins of Pleasant Hill, CA and children, Donovan Collins and Ryder Collins. A Memorial Service will be held for Howard, after the New Year, in California.
