Howard Emil Dschaak was born to his parents Emil Dschaak and Emma Wiedrich on November 1, 1929 in Mercer County, Krem, North Dakota. He died on November 14, 2017, at the age of eighty-eight years. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Eunice Halle; daughters: Elayne Mason of Sacramento, California and Tammie Scholl of Yuma, Arizona; four grandchildren: Travis Dschaak and wife Jenae and their two sons Zethe and Preston and their daughter Trysha of Phoenix, Arizona; Traci Mason-Yates and Samantha Mason of Sacramento and Tyler Dschaak of Springfield, Oregon; as well as other great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother and his son, Rory Dean Dschaak. He entered the U.S. Army at age seventeen and after his discharge, studied and became an Agent-Telegrapher for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Oregon.He worked for them for over twenty-eight years. He married Eunice in 1957 and when both were retired, they traveled. Finally, when medical problems became necessary to be close to doctors and hospitals, they settled down in Yuma, where he lived a comfortable life.
