Dale G. Boyer of Green Valley, AZ passed away peacefully at 88 years of age in hospice care at the VA in Tucson after a short battle with cancer. Born in Worthington, MN, Dale was the first of six children to parents Clinton F. Boyer and Ruby Baddgor Boyer. Dale graduated from Round Lake High School in 1955 where he was a student athlete and enjoyed playing the steel guitar. He joined the army soon after and served in Japan. When he returned, he served in the National guard and went to work in Minneapolis, MN as a salesman and eventual business owner. He studied business and engineering at the University of Minnesota.
Dale married Janice George and they had one daughter, Cynthia F. Boyer of Brooklyn Park, MN. Dale was very athletic and did well in bowling, golf, and waterskiing. As part of the Two Rivers Boat Club he skied in many competitions, shows, and was a pioneer in the development of hang-glider waterskiing. When he retired to Green Valley, AZ he continued to play golf and coordinated his golf leagues. He is survived by daughter Cynthia, sisters Nancy (Merlin) Bretzman and Leila Liepold, brothers Brian (Mavis) Boyer and Craig (Esther) Boyer, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Marion Riedemann. He was preceded in death by parents Clinton and Ruby Boyer, brother Clinton B. R. (Ruby) Boyer, brother-in-law Roger Liepold, three nephews, and former wife Janice Boyer.
