Bruce Kevin Eneboe, 68 of Tucson, Arizona passed peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, July 9, 2023 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Gilda for 34 years. Bruce was born in Nuremberg, Germany, to the late Lt. Col. Edward "Ted" and Lois Eneboe.
Growing up in a military family, he traveled to many different states until his father retired and moved to Tucson, AZ. Bruce graduated from CDO High School and earned his Associate's Degree from the Univ. of AZ. He began the career he loved at Reid Park Zoo starting as a keeper. He took a short break from his beloved career to learn farming on his family's farmland in South Dakota. He quickly returned to the career he loved at Reid Park Zoo and retired as an area supervisor for Elephants and hoof stock. He enjoyed animals, music, his Harley Davidson, Studebaker and his many projects. He loved the time he could spend with Gilda, family and friends. Bruce was a very generous and caring man. He donated a kidney to his loving sister, Cheryl.
In addition to his loving wife Gilda, Bruce is survived by his sister, Nancy (Lanny); brother, Edward "Ebe"; nieces, Bethany (Courtlend), Stephanie (Joe), and Christine (Dave); nephew, Jonathan (Jocelin); great nieces, Alden and Robin; great nephew, Cole and brothers-in-law, Norman, Gary and Dennis.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl; sisters-in-law, Bernadette and Diana; father-in-law Sylvester "Sy" and mother-in-law, Gerda.
At Bruce's request, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reid Park Zoological Society or the animal rescue organization of your choice.
