Barbara Marie Magnuson

Barbara Marie Magnuson , died Friday, August 18, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Tucson Arizona, after a long illness. Her body will be cremated and her family will have a private committal. Barbara was born October 3, 1950 in Garden City, Michigan the daughter of Wayne and Beatrice Atkins of Tucson, AZ. She married Milton Golden, and later married Thomas L. Magnuson, July 19, 1993 in Tucson Arizona. Survivors include her husband Thomas, daughter Dawn Berger, Beaumont CA., son Mark Golden, Concard, CA. step daughter Wendy Magnuson Mulligan, Chicago IL., father Wayne Atkins, Tucson, AZ., brother Richard & Nina Atkins, Tucson AZ. and 6 grandchildren, she was preceded in death by her mother Beatrice Atkins. Barbara was a graduate of University of Arizona and work as a Behavioral Health Therapist for Carondelet Behavioral Health and later was Director of Admission to Westcenter at Tucson General Hospital prior to retiring do to health issues in 1998. Barbara loved the outdoors, traveling to Europe and her dog’s. [Brussels Griffons] which she showed. Barbara was a very caring and giving person who was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a beacon of inspiration to us, a very spiritual person with a beautiful laugh and smile. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 3rd floor east, the ICU at St. Joseph’s hospital Tucson, AZ. for all of their comfort and care towards Barbara.
