Stephen Rodney Smith

He was born in Baltimore, MD and lived most of his life in California, the Bay Area and Santa Cruz. He graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1982 and became a union journeyman electrician, work which he loved and was able to perform for 25 years.

Steve liked to cook, garden and decorate for all holidays, especially Christmas. His fall & winter weekends were rooting for the fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the SF49ers, an avid fan of both teams.

Although his health seriously declined in 2025, he never gave up trying to get better. God blessed him by enabling him to spend the final days of his life in Medford, with his mother, Mary Lou Randall and his step-father Ted Randall.

He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins on the East Coast. He was preceded in death by his loving brother Lawrence G Smith and father, Dr. Rodney F Smith.

We would love Steve to be remembered by the planting of a tree in his memory.
