

Phyllis Rickert, 82, of Thousand Oaks, CA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born on September 18, 1943, in Kingston, PA, Phyllis was the daughter of Harold and Marjorie Seiple, formerly of Mt. Zion, PA.
She graduated from Nesbitt Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in multiple hospitals. Phyllis retired as a pediatric nurse in a private practice in Westlake Village, CA.
Phyllis was known for her kindness, humor, generosity and smile. She loved traveling, cruising and just being by the ocean. She volunteered with many organizations including most recently serving as President of Community Conscience, a non-profit in Thousand Oaks that owns a building where 15 social service agencies operate rent-free to provide human service programs at no cost to recipients. Upon moving to University Village in Thousand Oaks, CA four years ago, she served as a Building Representative and a member of the Health & Wellness Committee. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who treasured family time above all else and was the ultimate example of how to love unconditionally.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wayne; her children Garrett and wife, Kelly, Jeff and wife Elaine, and Melissa and husband, Patrick; and her eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Seiple of Fayetteville, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 10 at 11:00 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 29295 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Conscience, 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Ste 110, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and nursing staff, hospice, and friends for their support and compassionate care.
