Michael “Mike” William Allen passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025 at the age of 71, surrounded by his girls—his beloved wife and daughters. Though not tall in stature, Mike had a formidable presence and a heart big enough to hold everyone he loved.
Mike was a man of many talents and endless warmth. Whether you needed something fixed, a bit of advice, or just a good laugh, he was the one to call. He worked hard to provide for his family, was fiercely loyal to his friends, and had a story or joke ready for any occasion.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—golf, fishing, gardening, and Springsteen songs on a sunny day. His happiest times were spent by the sea with his wife of 49 years, Laurie, sharing oysters and champagne, wrapped in each other’s quiet company. Mike especially loved playing handyman for his daughters and chasing his granddaughter Harper around the yard, soccer ball at his feet and laughter in the air.
As a father to Shanna and Kelly, and father-in-law to Daniel and Keith, Mike was their constant—always just a phone call away, no questions asked. Becoming a grandfather softened his already generous heart, and his bond with Harper brought a new kind of light to the family.
Nephew Jeremy Allen and his wife Emily, sister-in-law Lori Bull, and niece Katy Cetani, whose presence, prayers, and comfort meant so much in his final days—as well as by the many loved ones who held him in their hearts from afar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Mary D. Allen; siblings Billy Allen, Rosemary Stark, and Nancy Allen; and nephew Zachery Allen.
The family is forever grateful to those who comforted, prayed, and continue to support “his girls.” Mike leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering devotion. He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
