Marilyn Reilly Crowley

Marilyn A. (Reilly) Crowley, 83 of Santa Clarita, CA, passed away on October 1, 2023. Born in Hartford, CT to John M. and Marion L. (Kearns) Reilly. She is survived by husband Thomas J. Crowley of 62 years, marrying after his service in the Air Force. They resided in Hartford and Middle Haddem, CT before moving to CA in 1979. Also their children, Cheryl Derring (partner Max Escamilla), Deb (Adrian) Blackman, Lynn (John) Esseff; Grandchildren Jennifer Derring, Heather (David) Bogna, Dan Blackman (Partner Kim Ray) and Army Cap’t Greg Blackman, Shane, Summer and Chad Esseff and 8 Great grandchildren; and her sister Kathleen (Carroll) Dikeman of FL.

Marilyn also leaves many relatives, in laws, nieces and nephews around the country. She would want to recognize her lifelong friend Bonnie Rice of CT and Bois Kwan of AZ.

She was predeceased by her daughter Susan, son Christopher; her parents John and Marion Reilly, sister Judith and brother in law Fred Roberts.

Marilyn enjoyed a good time... family gatherings, camping and crazy storytelling and her hobbies sewing, making ceramics and porcelain figurines. She was a fighter, enduring many health issues. And as of late, she resided in a medical care facility. Our sympathy for those who linger there.

A Celebration of Life and Internment will be held at a later date in East Hampton, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinson’s, Alzheimer or Cancer Research Foundations.
