

At the age of 20, in 1952, Lornie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. He achieved the rank of Corporal, attending school for Electricians' Mate and Technical Airman. He was Honorably Discharged in April of 1954.
Lornie worked as a chef for his family's business for several years; and also worked for the Department of Water and Power in Los Angeles, as a Tree Surgeon and Supervisor for 25 years.
He is preceded in passing by his first wife, Georgette Photiadis; his son, Michael Alexander White; and his second wife, Patrina Anzalone.
He is survived by his sister, Carrie Alotis; niece, Roxana Fry; nephew, Jon Alotis; granddaughter, Rachel Williams; and grandson, Ryan Williams.
Lornie was a good and very kind person who would always give a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors in troubled times. He was greatly involved in preserving the environment, supporting several charities that cared for forests and animals.
He was cared for in his later years in his home by his granddaughter, Rachel Williams; and many caregivers who provided him with safety and comfort.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
