Jose Alfredo “Fuzzy” Rodriguez, 57, passed away on December 17, 2024, peacefully after a short illness surrounded by loved ones. Jose Alfredo was born in Mexico on July 28, 1967, and raised in Ventura, California. He brought joy and warmth wherever he went, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Fuzzy was a man of the outdoors, finding his greatest peace in nature. Whether camping under the stars or hiking a quiet trail, he embraced the beauty of the world around him. His charismatic personality lit up every room he entered, making friends wherever life took him. He had an unmatched gift for connection and truly made everyone feel special.
Jose Alfredo is preceded in death by his father Alfredo Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother Maria A. Rodriguez. Sisters, Gracia Calderon (Gonzalo), Martha Caballero (Javier), and Margarita Magana (late Mario). Brother’s Maximo (Martha), Raul (Rosa), Alejandro (Claudia), Jose Luis (Brigette), and Victor (Nidia) Rodriguez. Children Joseph (Daisy), Adrian (Melissa), and Nichole Rodriguez. Grandchildren, Roman, Camilla, Sophia, Aryanna Rodriguez, and Azayla Tenner. And numerous nephews and nieces.
Fuzzy’s passion for life and his generous spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the vibrant, kind, and adventurous man who left us with so many wonderful memories.
A celebration of Jose Alfredo’s life will be held at Catalyst Church 241 N. Mill Street, Santa Paula, California 93060 on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by spending time outdoors or sharing a meal with a new friend—two things he loved most.
