Geri Fleck Eyer was born on October 8, 1933, in New Rockford, Eddy County, North Dakota, to Harold Schmerer and Alvina Falcon. She graduated from high school in Walla Walla, Washington in 1951 from St. Patrick’s.
She married Richard Fleck, and together they moved to New Mexico and later settled in California, where they shared 22 wonderful years of marriage. Later in life, Geri married Bill Eyer.
Geri is survived by her three daughters, Darlene, Wendie, and Karen, as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to cherish her memory.
Although Geri never learned to swim, she was naturally athletic and led a vibrant, active life. She won many trophies in golf and bowling, and she had a special talent for interior design. She loved hosting dinner parties, filling her home with laughter and bringing people together.
Geri retired from the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles, where she formed lasting friendships with doctors and colleagues. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, visiting friends in Hong Kong and Australia.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her sense of style, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, her love, and her beautiful memories will stay in our hearts forever.
