Eve Lynn Thomas, Lynn, was a beautiful woman. Born January 31, 1939, in Port Credit, now called Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Lived near the Credit River on the North Shore of Lake Ontario. As a single child, with working parents, she spent lots of time alone. She spent a lot of her free time being creative by drawing, knitting/crocheting and sewing clothes. At 18 years of age, the family moved to the San Fernando Valley. She attended Valley College where she met Harold Goldman at a fraternity party. She earned a Bachelor’s degree. They soon married and raised four beautiful and strong children, Dawn, Nikki, Allyson and Kevin. They all spent 14 months from 1969 thru 1970, in Tokyo Japan, while her husband worked on his Masters in Journalism. There she taught English to the Japanese. She also mastered how to knit with a machine that helped her create many beautiful dresses, blankets and more. When back in the US she taught many women how to use the knitting machines through night classes. In the late 1970’s she began working for the California Employment Development Department. In the later years she developed as an auditor. Eventually she retired from the EDD at 59. She had met our step father, Neal Thomas, Jr. and in 1998 moved to live with him in Colorado Springs, Co. They later married and were very active in the American Legion post 209. They loved to take long drives and therefore traveled to many places, Florida, California, Texas, and everyplace in between. She continued to explore her creativity by joining a weekly local group. Mainly focused on Bead type projects including many other creative activities. Peter Allen was one of her favorite musicians. His final album was ‘Making Every Moment Count’. Another thing Lynn loved to do was to read…her favorite author was Betty Neels. A retired nurse whom wrote several love story collections.
