Dolores "Dee" Simmons

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores Marie Simmons (Dee), 85, of Woodland Hills. Dee passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 24, 1939, in Baldwin, Long Island, to Walter and Florence Simmons.

Dee loved animals, going to the beach, reading, watching movies, traveling and playing Skip-Bo. Before retiring, she worked as a medical assistant for many years where she met and made many life-long friends.

Dee was preceded in death by her three brothers, her sister, her grandson and her son-in-law. She is survived by her three daughters Debra, Donna, Pamela, 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her cousin Jeffrey, who was a constant in her life. With his help, Dee was able to continue to do the things she loved, even as her health began to fail. She also leaves behind her beloved furbaby Nico who was by her side always.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 19855 Sherman Way, Winnetka, CA 91306 on Monday, June 16 at 10:00 AM.

If you choose to do so flower donations may be sent directly to the church the morning of the service or in lieu of flowers a donation in her name may be made to Boys Town,USA.
