Born in De Kalb, Illinois, her family lived in Oregon, Illinois, and she graduated from Oregon High School. Diana moved to California in the 1970's, where was a waitress for 40 years. She was a devoted mother, and good food was very important to her. She taught her son, Michael, to cook as as soon as he was able to see over the frying pan. This is a favorite memory of his.
Her passions were people and friends.
Maria Perez and Vanessa Obeso were her friends and caretakers, and the family appreciates them.
