

Clara L. Dunwoody, 96, of Ojai, CA, died peacefully April 25, 2026, at The Artesian of Ojai. Born October 8, 1929, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Paone) Notaro. She was a 1947 graduate of Easton High School and had been a mortgage processor for many years. Clara was an avid reader who loved to travel, volunteer, exercise and walk through Ojai every day.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Shaner, Hollie (Robert) Schooley and son Edward (Erika) Milkovitz, four grandsons and their wives, as well as five great-grandchildren, and her late husband Bruce’s children, Stuart (Mig) Dunwoody, Ellen (David) Bollier and Catherine (Edward Westbrook) Dunwoody, and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Stella Ziegenhorn.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bentley Bruce Dunwoody, in 2014, four brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law.
Clara spent her last months under the dedicated and loving care of the staff at The Artesian of Ojai and Mission Hospice. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Help of Ojai.
