

Celebration of Life for Bertha Merlene Toulson Bible verse: Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Bertha Merlene Toulson was born on September 7, 1941, to Aaron and Connie Haywood. Originally from Texas, she grew up in Los Angeles, California was the second child of 7 sisters and one brother: Joyce Jones(living), Mercedes Bradford, JoAnn Quarles, Adrian Etta Royal, Shirley Houston Freeman, Willie Ronald Haywood, Mary Katherine Haywood, Cheryl Denise Simmons.
Bertha graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Los Angeles, class of 1959. Then studied at East Los Angeles City College, class of 1962, and graduating from Pepperdine University Summa cum Laude class of 1976 where she majored in Social Psychology/ Pre-Law. She embraced Christianity at an early age and did nobles studies at Gary Whetstone School of Biblical Studies September 2002- June 12,2004 and later earned a divinity degree in Christian Ministry at Victory Christian Fellowship. A bilingual Spanish speaker, she was a banker, business and real estate consultant, ministry leader, and caregiver for her sister with Alzheimer’s. She enjoyed singing, acting, reality crime shows, but most of all, she loved the Lord and serving in ministry. She was preceded in death by husbands Floyd Frazier and George Toulson Sr. and daughter, Erica Felicia Frazier. She is survived by her children Zane Frazier (Jolee), Faaron Frazier (Kiyo) with granddaughter Sydni Frazier; Demetria Toulson-Giles (Jose); Dr. Andrea Jeffress (William Sr.) with grandchildren Adrianna, Jasmine, and William Jr.; Gebrette Pritchett (Andre) with grandson Harrison; George Toulson Jr. (Kira) with grandchildren Quentin, Trevor, Bryant, Austin, and Ava; Dr. Charles Toulson with granddaughter Brooklyn; as well as a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date. Just A Memory Away I'm no longer by your side, but there's no need to weep; I've left sweet recollections I'm hoping you will keep. Eternal joy and memories Stay in our hearts forever, strengthening our special bond That parting cannot sever. Now it's time to journey on, so let your faith be strong, For I am in a better place...
