
GOODYEAR – Celebration of Life Services for Trent E. Lancelot, 76 of Goodyear will be held 10am Saturday February 1st, 2025 at Desert Springs Community Church 14440 W. Indian School Road in Goodyear, AZ. Pastor Steve Sonmor will officiate. He died December 22, 2024, at Abrazo Hospital in Goodyear, AZ.
Trent Lancelot was born June 27th, 1948 to John and Leona Lancelot of Wichita, Kansas. At the age of thirteen moved to Arvada, Colorado where he graduated from High School in 1966. After High School he attended one year of college at Colorado State University. In 1968 Trent headed to Vietnam and served two tours as a Green Beret earning five Bronze star oak leaf clusters, a Purple Heart along with many other Citations. After an honorable discharge he trained and became a Deputy Sherriff in Santa Barbara, California. In 1980 he entered the Nuclear Power industry and worked in several parts of the United States before settling down in Goodyear, Arizona in 1989 with Donna his wife who he married in 1987. He worked at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant as a Supervisor for following duration of his career earning his Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. After developing sever back issues, he retired in 2016.
Trent started his life with Donna raising three step children Ron, Tamela and Mandy. In 1989 Trent and Donna had their first son Michael then 1990 second son David. Michael has two daughters Paris and Cali who he couldn’t be more proud to be their Grand Dad. When Trent wasn’t working he enjoyed reading his newspaper, golfing, watching football, movies and spending time with his wife.
Trent is survived by his wife Donna Lancelot of Goodyear, AZ; Brother Scott and wife Barbara Lancelot of Ocala, FL; Sons Michael and David Lancelot of Goodyear, AZ; Step-Son Ronald and wife Bree Heaney of Tekamah, NE; Step-Daughter Tamela and husband Wayne Prauener of Battle Creek, NE; Step-Daughter Mandy Scherer of Glendale, AZ; Two granddaughters Paris and Cali Lancelot of Phoenix, AZ; Step-Grandson Mark and wife Kamri Heaney of Waco, TX; Step-Grandson Daniel Heaney of Lincoln, NE; Step-Granddaughter Cheryl Heaney of Tekamah, NE; and two Step-Great-Grandchildren Landon and Nayeli Heaney of Waco, TX.
He was preceded into death by his parents John and Leona Lancelot, and Mother-n-law Gladys Steskal.
He will be laid to rest Monday, February 3rd, 2025 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona – Family only. Contributions can be sent to Donna Lancelot at 2585 S. 158th Court Goodyear, AZ 85338.
