Terry Raey Meyers

Terry had the gift of optimism, positivity, forgiveness, and grace. She dedicated her life to helping others.

Terry was born at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California to Wallace Ernest Sharpe and Helen Ione Myers. She lived in Burbank until 1949 when her family moved to Reseda, California.

Terry, with her fair-skin and red-locks, was raised in the great outdoors, hunting, fi shing and frolicking among the beach-waters of Southern California. As a young girl, you would often fi nd her diving from the docks of Balboa, running the Balboa Fun Zone freely and studying marine life.

She attended Reseda and Garden Grove Elementary schools, Northridge junior high, and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. In 1967, Terry graduated as a medical assistant and worked several years in the medical fi eld before transitioning to social work and education, which was her passion.

Terry moved to Ramona in 1987 where she met Carl and raised her two beautiful children on Wilson Road. She had a zoo of plants, trees, birds, reptiles, fi sh, insects, rodents, dogs, cats and people. Plants and cats were always her favorite, people a close 3rd. She worked for the Ramona Unifi ed School District as a Special Education Assistant for 30+ years impacting many lives, all for the better. She was a mother to many.

Terry was wedded to Carl Muse and the beloved mother to Christine Meyers, Daniel Muse and the mother in law to Amber Muse. She is succeeded by 5 beautiful, thriving grandchildren: Kestrel and Lowen Cereghino, James, Adelynn and Scarlett Muse. Her grandchildren always put a smile on her face and she took great pride in being their biggest cheerleader. She is also survived by her sister, Stacy Ann Sharpe-Oates (of Newbury Park) and three nephews: Brendon Oates (his wife Shannon), Patrick Oates, and Kristian Oates (and his wife Perla).

A celebration of life will be held for Terry at the Santa Maria Mason’s Lodge #580 in Ramona, California on August 15, 2026 beginning at 11:00 AM.
