Roger Armand Mailhiot, 84, leaves behind a legacy of love, family, public service, and unforgettable adventures. Roger is survived by his children, Tom and Deb; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
Roger shared nearly 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, J9, who preceded him in death on June 10, 2024. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and a shared passion for motorcycling. Their adventures took them by motorcycle through all 50 states and Canada, where they made lifelong friends and treasured memories along the way.
Roger proudly served his country as a Seaman in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1965 to 1968 before beginning a distinguished career with the New Hampshire State Police. Serving from 1968 to 1990, he was a member of the first ASAP Patrol in 1972, Commandant of the NH State Police Academy from 1976 to 1978, a PR-24 Instructor, a Corporal in Troop G, and Assistant Troop Commander of Troop B. Following his retirement, he continued serving as a U.S. Marshal for several years and remained active in the New Hampshire Retired State Troopers Association.
Motorcycling remained a lifelong passion. Roger was an early member of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and served as its seventh International President in 1987 and 1988.
Roger will be remembered for his dedication to service, his love of the open road, and, most importantly, his devotion to family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories that will forever be cherished.
Rest in peace, Dad, “Ride with Pride” in heaven and rejoice in your reunion with Mom. You will be incredibly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A celebration of life is planned for spring 2027 in New Hampshire.
