Robert Lee Villa was born on July 31, 1936 at The Woman's Hospital
in Pasadena, California to the late Vera Perales and the late James
Villa. Robert passed away at the age of 82 on October 13, 2018 at the
Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.
He attended Cathedral High School in Los Angeles from 1951 to 1954.
Robert obtained his Cosmetology license and was a barber in the Los
Angeles area. His second wife and best friend is the late Alicia
Acosta. His first wife is the late Beverly Holloway.
Robert enjoyed playing bridge, billiards and watching or talking about
the U.S.C. football team, Lakers basketball team and boxing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Hudson and survived
by James’s children, his sister Snookie Roberts, her husband Todd, and
two daughters, Renee and Danielle. He is also survived by his three
adult children Bob Hudson, Michelle Swenson, Joseph Villa and their
families, providing Robert with nine grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren. Grandchildren include Nicole and Michael Hudson,
Roger, Chance and Shane Wood, Evyn, Andrew, Kennedy and Jett
Villa. His great grandchildren include Nicole’s son Geovanni Zola,
Roger’s children Ashley Lopez, Katrina Wood and Hudson Wood,
Shane’s children Jonah, Isaiah, Analynn and Elijah Wood.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be a private gathering of immediate
family members and invited friends at the Springlake Club House,
6892 Cloverhill Drive, Highland CA 92346 on November 14, 2018
