Robert J Pimentle

Robert Joseph Pimentle “Bob” of Chandler, Arizona passed away in his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters on March 1, 2018. He was born on February 5, 1943, in New Bedford, Massachusetts and was the son of the late Manuel M. Pimentle and Marie Flora (Gendron) Pimentle.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rochelle (Goddu) Pimentle of 52 years, his daughters Lisa Pimentle of Arizona, Jodi Pimentle (Jim Goldschlager) of Connecticut, Melinda Rogers (Steven Rogers) of Virginia and Tricia McCarthy (Bob McCarthy) of Virginia. Bob is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Taylor, Alec, Kobe, Michael, Mackenzie, Kaley, Sydney, Mason and Robert. He is also survived by five siblings, Lucille Gifford (Albert) of New York, Manuel M. Pimentle Jr. (Rosella) of Florida, Doris Gyolai (Matthew) of Connecticut, Joan Castagneto (Lawrence) of Massachusetts, Edward Pimentle (Donna) of Massachusetts; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his brother John M. Pimentle of Massachusetts.

After graduating from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1965, Bob worked for Uniroyal Chemical for 40 years and traveled the world with his wife and family residing in Asia and Europe for many years. He and his wife, Rochelle, retired to Arizona and continued to enjoy traveling for pleasure and visiting his many grandchildren.

Bob, loving husband, father and Pepere will be missed more than words can say and will be in our hearts forever.

A funeral mass will take place on April 6 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 1359 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02746 at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 559 Mount Pleasant Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02745.
