Paul grew up in Oskaloosa, Iowa, where he lived with his parents and siblings. He proudly joined the United States Navy and served his country for ten years. After leaving the Navy, Paul continued his military service by joining the Air Force Reserves, where he served for another 20 years.
Paul later worked for the Martinez School District, where he was a valued member of the community.
In 1976, Paul married the love of his life, Roberta. Together, they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 5, 2026. Paul was Roberta’s devoted helpmate throughout their marriage. They never had a cross word between them and described their life together as one adventure after another; always having fun, laughing, and making memories.
Paul and Roberta enjoyed camping and took two long trips that carried them all over the country. Paul loved riding his motorcycle and had been riding even before he met Roberta. He was a valued member of the Blue’s Angels motorcycle group in Golden Vista. Paul also loved horses and had ridden rodeo before Roberta met him. His love of horses led him to become a member of the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers.
Paul was also a devoted member of his church, where he served for 15 years as an usher, greeter, and bell ringer. He loved square dancing and enjoyed sharing his time, laughter, and friendship with those around him.
Paul will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Roberta; his children, Paul Jr., Barbara, and Elizabeth; his family; and his loving neighbors in Golden Vista.
