

She is survived by her son Michael Howe; daughter Jessica (Garis) Howe-McCutcheon; granddaughters Aubrey and Alyssa McCutcheon; brother Robert Hagen; sister Mary Clement (Bill Yohn) and other family and friends who will greatly miss her.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Avis Hagen; and her sister Cherie Sue Hagen.
Nancy was born in Mason City, Iowa, on March 29th, 1952. She grew up in Klemme, Iowa and graduated from Klemme High School in 1970. After high school she attended Iowa State University and graduated in 1974. She showed her incredible work ethic the years she worked at the US Postal Service from 1983 until she retired in 2013.
She will always be remembered for her compassion and empathy for those in need. Nancy donated to many charities, including St Mary's Food Bank, Phoenix Rescue Mission, American Diabetes Association, and St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Nancy always found joy in going to the movies, attending estate sales, going to lunch with her Postal retirement group, hosting holiday dinners, thrift stores, and she absolutely loved to travel the world.
Nancy touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. She was always very caring and passionate about helping those she loved anytime they needed it. Her empathy, understanding, and loving spirit will be remembered forever.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at 1pm at the Antique Wedding House located at 307 E 1st St, Mesa, AZ 85201. An additional celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 11th, at 2pm at the Ventura Community Center, 4 Weimer St, Ventura, IA 50482.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested you honor Nancy's legacy of helping others by donating to one of the charities she contributed to.
