Michael James Christy

Michael, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 74. He was born to James and Marie Christy and was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Stephen Christy.

Graduated from Phoenix College in 1971 with a degree in Liberal Arts. His passion for building and creating was evident throughout his life. A skilled carpenter, he spent his career designing and building custom projects for family and friends. He dedicated 24 years of service to the City of Phoenix, retiring from the Housing Department, where he formed lasting friendships with his colleagues.

In addition to his love for carpentry, Mike was an avid guitar player. He shared his talent and joy for music by teaching anyone eager to learn.

Survived by his loving wife, Frances Christy, and his children: Michael Christy Jr., Dorena Christy-Williams, and Joseph Christy. He is also survived by three sisters: Gisel Breese, Patricia Regman, and Donna Christy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, 10 grandchildren & many friends who cherish him dearly.

His legacy of love, craftsmanship, generosity and sense of humor will forever be remembered. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
