If you knew my mom, you knew her vibrant spirit, her endless warmth, and her unmistakable signature style—head-to-toe red, just like in this photo (and driving her beloved red Kia Soul). She had a heart big enough to hold all of us, and nothing brought her more joy than cooking for big family get-togethers and being surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
She was a woman of so many passions—history, good books, great music, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She also had an uncanny memory for facts, which earned her the affectionate family nickname "Cliff" (after Cliff from Cheers TV show IKYK), because there wasn't a trivia question she couldn't answer.
One of my favorite ways to picture her will always be just like this: smiling, raising a glass of Paisano wine with dinner, or unwinding in the evening with a bowl of pretzel sticks and some TV time.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lifelong devotion. She is survived by her husband, J. Peter Martini; her daughter, Chrysa; her sons, Jay and Chad; and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she adored with all her heart.
Rest in peace, Mom. Raise a glass, test the angels on their trivia, and know how deeply you are loved and missed. ❤️🍷say hi to Nan, Papa, Uncle Joe and everyone else you are joining in Heaven.
