She grew up in Morenci and married William Joseph Trejbal there on August 26, 1967.
Mary made friends quickly and she had to, as Bill’s jobs took them coast to coast …
CA, AZ, MO, NJ, GA, OH and FL. Along the way, Mary and Bill were blessed
with two sons. Peoria, Arizona was her final home.
She was a faithful member and deacon of The Church at Litchfield Park where she
so enjoyed hearing the sermons and the choir (especially when husband Bill sang).
Mary will be remembered for her “love” … she loved to laugh … to have fun … to talk
to interesting people … to volunteer. She loved animals and had collections of bears,
rabbits, cats, etc. But, most of all, Mary loved her family.
She is survived by her husband Bill, sons Jeff and Brian (Sharon) Trejbal,
brothers Bill (Bonnie) and Charles (Vicki) Lafferty.
Mary began showing signs of dementia in 2015 and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
Disease in early 2019. Alzheimer’s is called the “longest goodbye”. We miss our Mary,
Mom, sister, aunt and friend, but we know she is now filled with joy and wonder.
She is again the Mary we remember.
She has left our hearts full of love and wonderful memories.
Mary’s ashes will be interred at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
