Mary Louise Thurman

Mary Louise Thurman, daughter of Abe Cecil Tiller and Katherine Hatchett. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 9, 1941. Mary was one of seven born to this union. She succumbed to an ongoing illness Tuesday October 25, 2016 surrounded by the love of close family and friends. She survived by Sister Cecelia brother-in-law Norris Elmore of Las Vegas, Annie Washington, Sharon Harris, and Jean Cobb all of California, and Katherine Howard of Arizona. She was preceded in death by a brother Vornell Tillard also of California. She leaves cherished fond memories of her husband Chester E Thurman (butch)and three children Joyce Fortt of Georgia, Reuben Fortt, wife Michelle of Colorado, Monica Fortt of Arizona, and Dawn Dyer also of Colorado. Mary was better known as Nana with 4 Grandchildren Byron, Jaire, Jalynn Fortt, and Joseph Loera. Step-Grandchildren, Jody, Joshua, Jesse Bohl, and Tanisha Dyer. She also had 2 great grandchildren Leila and Levani and 6 step great grandchildren including, Damion, Jayden, Dominic, JT, Willow and Preston. There is a long list of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all! A celebration of life service date to follow in February 2017
