Mary “Gaye’ Hoskins was born November 16, 1931 in Puyallup WA to Harold Hoskins and Helen Mohr. She is survived by her brother Don Hoskins of Puyallup. She is predeceased by her brother Bill Hoskins, her parents and husband Bob Honn. Gaye has a number of grandchildren and was very involved in helping to raise three of them in her Puyallup home. They know who they are and of their relationship specifically to their grandmother who loved them very much.
Gaye retired as and was a member of the Retail Clerk Union. She had worked at The Valley Packing Meat Company, Elvin’s, and a number of Grocery Stores until she retired.
Mary Gaye loved the Puyallup Valley with its beautiful views of Mt. Rainier and acres of daffodils. She was a big fan of the annual Daffodil Parade and was once a lovely flower girl on the Queens Float in 1938 at seven years of age.
Her son, Barry moved her from Puyallup to Scottsdale, AZ over eight and a half years ago. He and his spouse Joe helped her enjoy her life as much as possible to include her daily chocolate treat until she flew away from the Phoenix Mountain Nursing Center. Her after life care is being handled by The Neptune Society – Cremation Services. Donations in Mary Gaye’s honor can be made to any Homeless Service of Puyallup, WA.
