Marnee Lou (Burnham) Bogle passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 9th, 2023. Marnee was born on May 24th, 1951 to Richard and Dolores (Reamer) Burnham. Marnee grew up in Robbinsdale, MN graduating from Robbinsdale High School in 1969. She grew up singing in the choir, attending Lake Koronis Bible Camp, playing sports, enjoying neighborhood friends and time with family.
She married Don Bogle in June of 1983 and they shared just shy of 40 adventurous years together. They began their life in Minneapolis, MN moving to Grand Rapids, MN in 1990 where they developed a tremendous circle of friends who they traveled with, laughed with, sang with, and played games with. Upon retirement, Don and Marnee continued their love of travel by touring the country via motorhome, documenting their travels as they went. Marnee loved writing down the details of where they were, what they experienced, and who they met. They often worked odd jobs on the road, creating friendships and memories at each stop. Marnee and Don’s circle of friends expanded yet again when they moved to Arizona in 2002 and planted roots in Venture Out.
Marnee had a smile that lit up a room, while that can be somewhat cliché’, this was indeed the case with her. She was the most genuine, caring person to all she met, whether it was inviting you over for dessert or including you in the current activity. Marnee had a tremendous faith that began as a child and flourished as an adult. She was active in couple’s Bible study, Mission Impact, and sharing her gift of cooking for those in need. She was a member and President of the pickleball club and sat on the board for Venture Out.
She had one biological daughter, Jody, who provided Marnee with four local grandchildren, Hayden, Tucker, Jacoby and Gianna. She loved being an active part of their daily lives from attending hockey games to piano and band concerts, to dance recitals, to baking. Her heart for these young people was beyond measure. She showed this love to all her extended family in every activity she did with and for them whether they were together or miles apart. This love will continue to resonate through her family for years to come.
Marnee is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dolores Burnham and daughter, Lynn (Bogle) Olkives and niece, Dayna (McConnell) Esch. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Don; siblings, Marijo (Ken) Krueger, Richard (Doris) Burnham, Steven (Jonelle) Burnham. Children; Don Bogle Jr., Michael Olkives, Susie (Bogle) Case, and Jody (Gabe) Stott. Grandchildren; Sarah (Bogle) Kaweleski, Heather (Andy) Douglass, Nicholas (Natalie) Martensen, Joseph (Alexandra) Olkives, Kyle Roen, Jack Roen, Preston Case, Amber Langefels-Case, Hayden Stott, Tucker Stott, Jacoby Stott and Gianna Stott. Great-grandchildren; Katelynn, Piper, Julia, Lauren, Aylah, Kallianne and Harlow. In addition to an extended family of nieces and nephews Deanne, Darren, Brian, Kristin, and Will to name just a few.
In honor of Marnee, donations in her name to Mission Impact (Mission Church Arizona) to continue God’s ministry locally and globally would be greatly appreciated. An internment service will be held at Kahbakong Cemetery on July 14th, 2023, at 1pm in Taylor’s Falls, Minnesota. Additionally, a celebration of life at Venture Out in Mesa, Arizona, will be planned for the fall/winter 2023 (more details to come). We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in remembering our dear Marnee at either or both locations.
