Logan “Stan” Garner, 83, of Payson, Arizona passed away on May 20, 2024. Stan was born in Pasadena, California and lived in Southern California until moving to Payson in 2007. He was a Navy veteran, an electronics engineer, and owned a business supplying trains and train coordination for over 300 film and TV productions. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, he had several screen credits as a train conductor.
Stan loved dogs, model railroading, traveling, and writing, publishing two books about his movie train business. He served on the boards of the Friends of the Bridge and the Arizona Railway Museum. He was a member of the Payson American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and Sons of the American Revolution.
Stan was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his daughter, Erin Hutton (Geoff), grandsons Daniel and Colin, stepdaughter Colleen Benton (Greg Lowe) and great-grandsons Cayson and Ryland. He is predeceased by his first wife Eileen Garner, son Spencer, brother John Garner, second wife Susan Connell, and step-granddaughters, Cory and Jody.
Memorial services will be held on June 29th, 2024, at Payson First Church of the Nazarene at 11 am and on August 10th, 2024, at Altadena Baptist Church in Altadena, CA at 4 pm.
