Leolen Lafleur Owens

Leolen (Lee) LaFleur Owens of Gilbert, Arizona passed away on December 21, 2016 at the age of 92. Lee was born on July 28, 1924 in Oberlin, Louisiana. Lee was an active member in the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and also in TROA Auxiliary (The Retired Officers Association), which is now the MOAA (Military Officers Association of America). She loved to travel and had a great sense of style in all aspects of her life. Lee is with her beloved Johnny and siblings J.D.; Ethel and Bessie. Her beautiful spirit will remain with all of us that she touched. Lee is survived by her son, John Owens of Evanston, Illinois; daughter, Patricia Rogers of Henrico, Virginia; daughter, Shelley Keckler of Gilbert, Arizona; and granddaughters Brie Keckler of Scottsdale, Arizona and Corey (Jim) Broberg of Chandler, Arizona. Lee requested that there be no funeral or memorial service. She wanted everyone to imagine her on a wonderful cruise and she will be there to greet you when you reach the heavenly port.
