Jetta (Fiedler) Bourne was born in Moline, Illinois on May 23, 1934, and died in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 28, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ray, and her daughters Christi, Vicki (Rob), and Kerri (Rich) and 6 grandchildren. Jetta received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver. Jetta left her job at Colorado Psychopathic Hospital to raise the first of what would be three daughters. She followed Ray to various Veteran’s Administration assignments across the United States. In each of the states she made a loving home for her family. Jetta had a quick wit and was an accomplished wordsmith. She wrote Christmas letters that people actually wanted to read. At several locations she was involved in community activities and made many friends. In her last years health concerns limited her involvement in activities outside the home. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Hansen’s Mortuary and Cemetery at 6500 E. Bell Road Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A reception will follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite pet charity.
