Jesus Velasco Godinez

Jesus Velasco Godinez was born on January 16,1941, in Guadalajara, Mexico, to Brigida and Margarito Godinez. He passed away on December 17, 2024, at the age of 83. He is survived by his beloved wife Ana Bertha Godinez; brothers Raul (Vicky), Javier (Margarita), Pedro (Sally), and Ruben (Irma) Godinez; his four children, Carlos (Isela), Maggie (Eddie), Sergio (Amy), and Daniel (Brenda); grandchildren Marissa, Mandy (Kalen), Andrew, Matthew, Natalie, Margaux, Christian, Adam, Brandon, Collin, Joshua, and Soraya; and great grandchildren Adacely, Avren, and Alaina. His family brought immense joy and happiness to Jesus' life.

Jesus had a passion for soccer and baseball. Whether cheering from the sidelines or talking about games he played in Mexico and the United States, his passion brought family and friends closer together. Jesus was a clown at heart, always bringing joy and laughter to any room.

As we say goodbye, we cherish the memories Jesus leaves behind; his spirit will live on in the hearts of family and friends forever. The graveside service will be held on January 10, 2025, at 12pm, at San Tan Memorial Gardens (22425 E. Cloud Rd., Queen Creek AZ 85142), with a celebration of life to follow.
