It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jeri L Ginnaty, a beloved husband to Mary, father to Jamie and Tami, Chris and Tracy, brother to Anne, Papa to 8 grandkids, and great-Papa to Colette Grace. He left this world after a long and happy life filled with love, purpose, and quiet accomplishment.
Jeri was a man whose deepest joy was his family and friends. Whether sharing wisdom with his children, doing projects with his grandchildren, or simply being present for those he loved, he gave freely of his time and knowledge. His generosity was never flashy—it was steady, thoughtful, and always offered with a ready smile and an open hand. He simply knew what one needed and would patiently provide that support, often going above and beyond.
A lifelong learner, he remained fascinated by cutting-edge technology. One could ask his expertise about repairing cars, boats or motors and engines of any kind. He could explain how to do electrical or plumbing work, how to build with wood or metal, how to do computers, and the list is endless. Jeri was fascinated and eager to understand the latest innovations and share what he discovered. He was always thinking and solving problems, even while he slept (seriously)! At the same time, he found equal satisfaction in the tangible craft of woodworking. His hands shaped beautiful, lasting masterpieces—furniture, home improvements, and beautiful homes built with care and precision—leaving behind both physical legacies and the skills he passed on to others.
Whatever he built, he built with a sharp mind, a loving heart, and strong hands, and the people who were closest to him were the best of his work.
He lived fully, loved deeply, and will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His warmth, curiosity, and steady presence leave a void that cannot be filled, yet the example he set—of devotion to family and friends, generosity of spirit, and a life well-built—will continue to guide and inspire those who remain.
