Jacque Lucille Cooper of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the age of 69. She was born on September 15, 1953, in Mesa, Arizona and grew up in Tempe, Arizona. She attended Mitchell Elementary School, Gilliland Jr. High School, and Tempe High School. Jacque went to Northern Arizona University before graduating from Arizona State University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Jacque worked as Special and Elementary teachers during her 30+ years of service. She profoundly impacted the lives of students, parents, and colleagues; many of whom stayed connected with her over the years.
She was an avid reader! She followed over 85 authors and worked to break her yearly reading record – she had already read 26 titles this year, even with all her health issues. But of course, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by their beloved parents Harley and Janet Cooper.
Jacque is survived by her sisters Jo Nell Cooper and Laura Lee Smith (Mark), as well as her 4 children Camela Cooper, Travis Frank (Mandy), Aaron Frank (Staci), and Leland Frank (Kelly); and her grandchildren Chloe (Jon) & Silas (their mother Michelle), Ethan, Emmett, Sam, Harley, and Janelle; as well as her ‘adopted’ grandchildren Ben, Katie, Shelby, Zac, Kennedy, and Rylan.
Jacque did not wish to have a big memorial service, but the family knows she was greatly loved. Therefore, in place of a memorial service, her family would love anyone so inclined to leave a message or story of our dear mother/Nana in this guest book, for us to all keep and enjoy.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in their honor to American Cancer Society (Donate Today | The American Cancer Society) or to a local public school for student supplies and learning activities.
The family also wishes to express their profound gratitude for the many people who helped care, nurse, pray, and love our Mom/Nana - it has meant more than can ever be expressed.
