Henry Joseph Klooster

October 19, 1924 – June 14, 2019

H. Joseph Klooster “Joe” of Chandler, AZ died June 14, 2019 from injuries he sustained from a fall with subsequent hospitalization and treatment for internal bleeding. Joe was born in the Bronx of New York City, NY October 19, 1924. The son of Peter Dierich and Barbara Marie Klooster, a graduate of Towns and Harris College Preparatory High School followed by CCNY. He enlisted in the Navy after the attack at Pearl Harbor. Joe was predeceased by his son Bill, his grandson Geoffrey and stepson John Allton. Joe is survived by his wife of 37 years Marilyn, his sister Anna Michika, daughter Barbara Follain (Jim), son Peter, daughter Carmella Garcia (Dom), stepsons Glenn, Eric, Craig Allton, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Joe enjoyed playing tennis, golf and duplicate bridge before and after his retirement. Joe was employed by the Fluor Corporation, Irvine, CA for 30 years as a Chemical Process Engineer and retired as a General Manager of Fluor Corporation subsidiary company. Joe moved to Chandler in 1987 the year of his retirement. A Memorial/Celebration of his life will be held on October 29, 2019 at 2 P.M. at the Sunbird Golf Resort Chandler Clubhouse Ballroom, 6240 S. Sunbird Blvd. Chandler, Az 85249.
