With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Jack Cook, who left this world on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 85. Known to many simply as Jack, he was a man of kindness, deep wisdom, and quiet strength.
Born on February 5, 1939, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, Jack grew up alongside his beloved siblings, Jim and Betty. He later moved to the United States, where he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force before pursuing a career as a Civil Engineer. His dedication, hard work, and integrity left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Jack was a man of many passions. He had an unrelenting love for racing cars, sport fishing, boating, music, and flying—each of which brought him great joy and adventure. Whether on the racetrack, out on the water, or soaring through the skies, he embraced life with a daring spirit.
Above all, Jack cherished his family. He is survived by his sons, Shawn (Lisa) Cook and Scott (Erin) Cook; his grandchildren, Courtney, Brittney, and Kasey; and his great-grandchildren, Duke and Olive. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose guidance and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Jack’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm laughter, and love for his family will be forever cherished. Though he has left this world, his memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to share in his journey.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his wife of 56 years, Beverly, who went before him, and forever watching over those he loved.
