He was close to his older brother David and helped his father at the bank when he could. He was a lover of ideas and had many inventions in his lifetime that he didn’t hesitate to try. His biggest success was US Transformer which he started with his brother, David Vickmark, after working as a lineman. He also bred Arabian horses, was a pilot, wrote a screenplay, and had his hands in numerous inventions and business ventures. His love for old country music, planes, and horses continued until the very end. Gary’s kindness and humor will be remembered by many. He was happiest mowing the lawn, betting on the horses at the race track or playing a round of golf with his buddies. He was the best father a girl could hope for and raised his daughter, Sasha, from 9 years old, on his own. Their bond was indescribable. He lived his life his way, fully, and without hesitation. In true Gary fashion, with kindness and positivity, his last words were, “you guys are doing a great job. I think I’m gonna make a comeback.” His memory will live on forever in my heart and soul and in the hearts of many 🖤
Gary is survived by his daughter, Sasha Vickmark; step son, Ken Pahl; sister Correne Petersen, and many nieces and nephews.
