Frank leaves behind his wife Paulette, sister Barbara Goldberg, daughters Pamela Weaver, Brenda Herrick (Kent), Becky Van Cleave (Sam), stepson Peter Nyblade, grandchildren Greg Geering (Kim), Layne Herrick, Jaclyn Van Cleave, and great-grandson Cayden Geering.
Born in Toledo, OH on March 28, 1940, Frank moved his young family to Phoenix in 1973. Frank loved collecting items (rocks, nutcrackers, die-caste pencil sharpeners, fossils etc.) and experiences, traveling through much of Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. In addition to his main IT career, Frank had innumerable side hustles and would also keep busy with projects around the house and yard. Not resting in retirement, he volunteered at Wild at Heart, a raptor rescue organization for many years, always offering to do the jobs nobody else wanted.
With a quick smile and easy laugh plus his mixture of sympathetic stoicism, thoughtful pragmatism, and a genuine desire for all around him to be taken care of, Frank had a way of touching everyone he met and will be dearly missed. No services are planned. In his honor, please donate to your favorite nature conservation or wildlife charity, or a rescue such as Wild at Heart or Boxer Luv.
