CHARLES W. OLSON Charles “Chuck” Olson was born in Minnesota on March 23, 1945. Chuck moved to Phoenix in the mid-1990's, along with his mother, to be close to his sisters, nieces, and nephew. He was employed at Commutator Foundry in Minneapolis in aluminum castings manufacturing.He loved to play golf, was an avid sports fan and could often be found watching a baseball or football game. He also loved history, family and reading his bible. Chuck fought off a massive heart attack in his 40’s and battled pancreatic cancer in his late 60’s, living many years beyond what his doctor’s expected. Chuck finally succumbed to heart problems at 9:00 PM on the evening of Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and father, Marion and Carl Olson Jr., and his sister Marsha Mann. Chuck is missed and survived by his sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Dick Troop, his brother-in-law John Mann, his nieces Christine Freseman and Elizabeth Benner, his nephew John Benner and his great-nephews Jared and Nick Freseman.
