Charles Vaughn Hansen

1938 - 2019

Charles (Chuck) Vaughn Hansen of Scottsdale, Arizona, died Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 80. Chuck was born in 1938 in Grand Coulee, Washington. He spent most of his childhood years living in the San Francisco Bay area, before moving to New York City as a young adult. In New York he met -- and eventually married -- Lucy Karanfilian Hansen, his wife of 53 years.

Chuck was employed for many years as an estimator for large construction projects. He also cultivated a number of hobbies and interests outside of work, including auto racing, cycling, sailing, horseback riding, and collecting. Chuck and his son Eric shared and cultivated many of these interests together.

Chuck is survived by his wife Lucy, son Eric, daughter-in-law Kristin, grandson Dane, and granddaughter Anika. Services will be held in San Francisco at a later date.
