Arlene Clarice Alder
January 19, 1936 – February 21, 2019
Mrs. Arlene Clarice (Smith) alder, born on January 19, 1936 in Sisseton, South Dakota, to the late Mary and Forbin smith, passed away at age 83 on February 21, 2019 in mesa, Arizona.
She graduated from Sisseton High School in 1954 (South Dakota). She was in the insurance industry at Jones/Mitchell as an insurance underwriter until retiring in 1980. She also worked in the income tax industry at H and R Block as a tax consultant until retiring in 2016.
Arlene was married to Robert Alder. Arlene loved round dancing, following Nascar, and figure skating. She was a member of a prayer group member at Love of Christ Church.
Arlene is survived by her son, John; brother, Daryl; grandchildren, Tim and Karissa; and friend, Debi. Her son David and cat, Nick predeceased her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Arlene's name go to Hospice of Arizona and Sunshine Acres.
