Adelaide Louise Keiser “Lou” (85) of Apache Junction, Arizona passed away peacefully on the evening of June 30, 2023. Addie was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Eleanor Acklin and James Acklin, II. Her childhood and teenage years were spent in Ottawa Hills, Ohio and graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1956. Addie loved cooking, baking, dancing, and traveling. She taught her children life is a journey and to never give up on your dreams. She was determined to live life as a strong woman. She worked hard to become an LPN and then a RN as an adult with 5 children and running a daycare out of her home. Her drive to help others was seen by her patients and colleagues. She was at one point Nurse of the Year at Promedica Home Health.
Her ultimate path was different and difficult, but her love for helping people and doing right guided her path. Her later years were spent at Superstition Mountain Resort in Apache Junction where she was very active within the community. She was often involved in most of the community holiday meals through organization and preparation. She insisted for many years on making friend’s their favorite/requested cake or pie for their birthday and she faithfully attended the weekly coffee talk. She had an affinity for frogs holding on tightly to the acronym “Forever Rely On God“
She is preceded in death by her first-born son, Dale A. Keiser, II “Rusty” and brother, Col. James M. Acklin, III. She is survived by partner of 26 years, Donna Hosterman; her sister, Catherine Kontak; five children, Kimberle Brown (Ken) of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Kevin Keiser (Renee) of Toledo, Ohio, Cynthia Keiser of Maumee, Ohio, Scott Keiser (Sandra) of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Michael Keiser (Kerry) of Sidney, Ohio, stepson, Carey Hosterman (Amy) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews all of whom she loved so very much.
This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. John 15:12.
