

Wylda graduated from Butler High School (Choctaw county AL) in 1952 and Mather School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1954. She was a practicing nurse anesthetist for over forty years, working in New Orleans, New York, Memphis, and San Antonio. She traveled the world extensively, sharing her experiences of times, places, foods and friendships with everyone she knew. She retired to Pensacola, Florida where she enjoyed being closer to family, being a member of the IMPACT 100 Club and several other social groups, and entertaining friends and family.
Wylda will be remembered for her generous and lively spirit and will be deeply missed by her fourteen living nieces and nephews, as well as their children, in whom she took an active interest.
Wylda was preceded in death by her brothers, Winston Sparrow, William Sparrow, Bush Sparrow, Pettus Sparrow, and her sisters, Hermia Napper, Anna Norwood, Sara Rentz, and Viva Weeks.
