William James Kerr

Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Bill was the son of Ray Kerr and Eunice Kerr. He grew up in Greenville, Florida, where he developed the strong values, love for the outdoors, knack for solving problems, and a well-known, unmatched witticism.

Bill spent his career as an electrician in Tallahassee, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his dedication, skill, and willingness to help others. It is rumored that his talents and willingness to lend a hand, on more than one occasion, drove his wife to the brink of hiring other electricians for home repairs.

An avid sportsman, Bill found great joy in hunting and fishing. Indeed these can be solitary acts, but for him it was the camaraderie that comes later at the camp that he found was the most rewarding aspect of outdoor life. !hankfully, his best was not reserved for the select few who could bait a hook. Whether sharing stories with friends or enjoying time with family, he lived life with generosity and enthusiasm.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Nanci Kerr; his daughter, Jessica Kerr, her husband Edward Ticheli, and his granddaughter, Addie Kimball; his son, Wesley Kerr and partner Kimberly Welsh; his sister, Janet Harris; and his aunt, Ethel Bass. He is also survived by many dear friends and family members, too numerous to list, all of whom will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bill to Big Bend Hospice (bigbendhospice.charityproud.org/Donate).

Bill's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence could brighten, nay, electrify any room. Live just like that, he would be honored.
