

Born on February 4, 1960, in Jacksonville, FL, Thomas—known to many as Tom—was a lifelong lover of music and faithful servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He graduated from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, FL, Jacksonville University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
Tom devoted his life to church music, serving as Minister of Music in several congregations, including Riverdale Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL; Ebenezer Baptist Church in Jonesboro, LA; Wakulla Springs Baptist Church in Crawfordville, FL; and Sisters Baptist Church in Sandersville, GA. He concluded his career as the pianist for St. Marks First Baptist Church.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Warren Williams and Betty Jane Laster Williams. He is survived by his four sisters: Fran (Gus) Rumpf, Sandra Bethel, Ginger Howell, and Terrie (Bill) Spiers, along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
An accomplished pianist, Tom had a deep love for music that touched many lives. He was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed all sports, especially cheering for the FSU Seminoles, the Texas Rangers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. Marks First Baptist Church, 14 Shell Island Road, St.Marks, FL.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Jacksonville, FL, at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens,
